Nuoxuann Recalls Allegedly Defective Bearlala Baby Loungers Sold on Walmart.com Due to Entrapment and Fall Hazards

Bearlala baby loungers sold online through Walmart.com have been recalled due to multiple safety violations that pose a risk of serious injury or death to infants.

According to the announcement, the loungers fail to meet the federal safety requirements for Infant Sleep Products. The side walls are too low to safely contain an infant, and the openings at the foot of the lounger exceed allowable dimensions, creating potential entrapment and fall hazards. The loungers also lack a stand, which can increase the risk of falls when the product is placed on elevated surfaces.

The recalled loungers were marketed under the name “Granlass.” Each unit features a foam sleeping pad surrounded by padded bumpers and a light gray leaf-patterned cloth cover. A sewn-on label displays the name “Bearlala” on the cover’s exterior.
