Big Game Recalls Allegedly Defective Climbing Tree Stands Due to Fall and Serious Injury Risk


BROOKLYN, Minn. — Big Game is recalling several models of its climbing tree stands after determining that the cable assembly can release unexpectedly, posing a risk of serious injury from a fall.

The recall covers three models: CL050 (The Outlook), CL100-A (The Cobalt), and CL500-AP (The Fusion). Affected units include batch numbers 9B-0414 for The Outlook, 9B-0214 and 9B-0514 for The Cobalt, and 9B-0214 and 9B-0514 for The Fusion. These stands are designed for hunters to climb and sit in elevated positions and were sold with an accessory bag.

The Outlook has a nylon netted seat without a backrest, while The Cobalt and The Fusion come with a padded, camouflage-print seat displaying the Big Game logo on the front of the backrest. Batch numbers beginning with “BN” are located on a small tag on the frame beneath the seat.
