BRP Recalls Allegedly Defective Youth Can-Am ATVs Due to Fire Hazard


WASHINGTON — BRP has announced a recall of certain youth-model Can-Am all-terrain vehicles after discovering a defect that could lead to a fire hazard.

According to the recall notice, the fuel filter on the affected ATVs can crack and leak, posing a potential fire risk. The vehicles were sold in black and yellow, with “Can-Am DS” and the engine size displayed in white on the side fairings, and “Can-Am” printed in white on both sides of the seat.

BRP has received reports indicating that the fuel filter can break and leak.
