Man Seriously Injured After Semi-Truck Accident with Horse-Drawn Buggy on U.S. Route 62 in Stark County, Ohio


STARK COUNTY, Ohio — A Beach City man suffered life-threatening injuries Wednesday afternoon after a semi-truck collided with a horse-drawn buggy in Sugar Creek Township. The incident happened on U.S. Route 62.

Troopers said a semi-truck struck the buggy, seriously injuring the 36-year-old buggy operator. The horse pulling the buggy was killed in the collision.

The injured man was transported for medical treatment, where he remains in critical condition. Authorities said impairment is not believed to have played a role in the crash.
