One Person Killed After Vehicle Strikes Parked Truck on Interstate 80 in Luzerne County, Pennsylvania

LUZERNE COUNTY, Pa. — A deadly crash Thursday morning on Interstate 80 eastbound left one person dead after a car collided with a semi-truck parked on the shoulder, according to Pennsylvania State Police.

Troopers said the crash took place near the exit for Nescopeck Township. A vehicle traveling eastbound struck a parked truck, and the impact caused the car to catch fire.

Responding crews later found the driver deceased inside the burned vehicle.
