Allegedly Defective Play Yards Recalled Due to Suffocation and Entrapment Hazards: Product Violates Federal Safety Standards


WASHINGTON — A line of children’s play yards has been recalled after officials determined the product poses a serious suffocation and entrapment hazard to infants.

According to the recall notice, the affected play yards do not meet the mandatory federal safety requirements for these products. Infants can become trapped beneath the mattress or between the mattress and the sides of the play yard, creating a risk of serious injury or death.

The recalled play yards feature black fabric sides with gray-bordered mesh panels. The top rails are wrapped in white fabric decorated with multi-colored bear faces and paw prints, along with the word “bear.” Each unit includes a mattress bearing the same print. The packaging and a removable tag list the model as “P700” with a production date of “202503.”
