Incline Railway Worker Injured After Fall Accident During Repairs in Chattanooga, Tennessee

Chattanooga, TN — A worker was rescued after falling 60 feet while performing repairs on the Incline Railway. The Chattanooga Fire Department (CFD) responded to the scene on Wednesday afternoon following reports of the injury.

CFD teams from various Red Shift companies were quickly deployed to different points along the incline to assist in the rescue operation. Firefighters and rope technicians used a specialized rope system to lift the worker back up the 60-foot drop.

The worker has since been rescued and was transported to a nearby hospital for further treatment.
