Worker Killed in Accident at Runyon Industries Plant in Memphis, Tennessee


Memphis, TN – A worker at a Memphis plant died following an accident Monday morning, according to local authorities.

Memphis Police responded to Runyon Industries on Millington Road just before 8:30 a.m. after reports of an industrial incident. According to investigators, the plant manager reported hearing a loud explosion outside and discovered an employee pinned beneath a railroad car.

Emergency responders transported the victim to Regional One Hospital, where he later succumbed to his injuries.

Authorities have not yet determined the cause of the accident.
