Aaron Pittman-Teague Killed in Train Accident Near Danforth in Iroquois County, Illinois

Danforth, IL – An IDOT snowplow driver was killed in a collision with a train Monday morning in Iroquois County. The incident occurred north of Danforth, at the intersection of U.S. Route 45 and County Road 2300 North.

A passing Canadian National freight train struck the snowplow that being operated by the deceased. Authorities confirmed that the railroad crossing where the collision took place does not have gate barriers or warning lights.

Pittman-Teague was transported to a nearby hospital, where he was pronounced dead.
