Wemfg Recalls 6,500 Children’s Bike Helmets Sold on Amazon Due to Injury Risks


The U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) has announced a recall of Wemfg’s Children’s Multi-Purpose Bike Helmets sold on Amazon due to a potential risk of head injuries. The helmets failed to meet federal safety standards for stability, impact labeling, and certification, posing a serious risk in the event of a crash.

The recall affects approximately 6,500 helmets sold online through Amazon from April to July 2024, with prices between $26 and $32.

The recalled helmets are small and designed for head circumferences of 19.5 to 21.25 inches. They feature black padding, black straps, a black and red buckle, and an adjustable black and red plastic knob at the back. The model number “MD-710-S” is printed on a white label inside the helmet.
