Ford Issues Recall for Bronco Sport and Maverick Vehicles Over Battery Failure Risk


Ford Motor Company has announced the recall of nearly 273,000 vehicles in the United States due to concerns about potential 12-volt battery failure. The recall was confirmed by the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) on Thursday.

The recall involves certain 2021-2023 Bronco Sport and 2022-2023 Maverick models. According to Ford, the 12-volt battery in these vehicles may degrade over time and fail unexpectedly. This failure could result in the loss of key electrical functions, such as hazard lights, or lead to a loss of drive power, increasing the risk of a crash.
