Man Killed in an Accident with a Semi-truck on Highway 28 in Marengo County, Alabama


Marengo County, Alabama — A Demopolis resident lost his life in a crash involving a tractor-trailer near Linden on Thursday morning. The collision occurred on Alabama Highway 28, approximately four miles west of Linden.

Officials reported that the 72-year-old man was driving a 2016 GMC Sierra pickup truck when he was struck by a 2019 Mack truck.

Freeman was pronounced dead at the scene.

No additional details have been released.

The surviving family deserves a full investigation into what caused the crash

Every day, an average of 15 people lose their lives in crashes involving large trucks, leaving families devastated and searching for answers. Tragically, many of these incidents are caused by preventable factors, such as driver error or mechanical failures.
