One Person Killed, One Injured Following a Tire Blowout Motorcycle Accident on SR-589 in Hillsborough County, Florida

The incident occurred on SR-589 near Milepost 9 when the rear tire of a Harley Davidson motorcycle suffered a blowout, causing the driver to lose control. Both the 42-year-old driver and the woman, who was riding as a passenger, were thrown from the motorcycle as it overturned.

Emergency responders transported both individuals to a nearby hospital. Despite medical efforts, the woman succumbed to her injuries. The driver sustained serious injuries and remains hospitalized.

Authorities are continuing to investigate the circumstances surrounding the crash.

Tire failure accidents should be investigated
