Rollover Crash on Interstate 84 Near Snowville Leaves Three Injured, Roadway Blocked

Salt Lake City, UT — A rollover crash on Interstate 84 near Snowville on Monday night resulted in injuries, according to the Utah Highway Patrol.

The accident occurred when a Ford Escape traveling westbound rolled over.

The vehicle’s driver and a second passenger suffered serious but non-life-threatening injuries and were transported to a nearby hospital by ground ambulance.

No additional information has been released.

Rollover Accident Involving SUV Needs Further Investigation to Determine Cause

Did you know that the car is often at fault in rollover accidents? SUVs are notorious for their rollover risk. In fact, the chances of serious injuries in a rollover increase by over 36% when it involves an SUV (National Highway Traffic Safety Administration).

The law is concerned with the causes of our injuries as much as it is with the cause of the accident. Many SUVs have design flaws that lead to roof crush or collapse during a rollover. This is completely unacceptable in the eyes of the law.

Vehicle roofs should not collapse, and safety belts should not fail to restrain. When this occurs and a person suffers severe injuries or death, the vehicle manufacturer needs to be held accountable.

Our law firm has handled hundreds of cases involving roof collapses that crush motorists or their passengers. When manufacturers fail the driving public by releasing a product that could cause more harm in dire circumstances, they need to be held accountable for their actions.

The accident involving the Ford Escape requires further investigation by trained professionals to determine if the vehicle showed signs of a defect. If it did, those responsible need to be held accountable.

The injured individuals will face hospital bills, loss of income, and setbacks. If an additional party is also to blame for the injuries caused in this accident, they must be held responsible.
