Two People Injured and Extracted in a Semi-truck Accident on the 710 Freeway in Long Beach, California

Long Beach, Calif. – A crash on the 710 Freeway resulted in the rescue of two individuals trapped inside a pickup truck after a semi-truck overturned and pinned the vehicle. The incident occurred Thursday afternoon near Del Amo Boulevard.

According to reports, a lane change led to a collision between the two vehicles. The big rig tipped onto the Chevrolet pickup, nearly crushing it.

The Long Beach Fire Department responded to the scene, where firefighters found the pickup truck trapped under the semi. Using specialized equipment, they freed one individual. A heavy wrecker was then called in to assist with the second rescue, which required firefighters to cut into the vehicle with the Jaws of Life.
