Bicyclist Killed in Hit-and-Run Accident Involving a Semi-truck on the 15000 block of the East Freeway in Channelview, Texas


CHANNELVIEW, Texas – A bicyclist was struck and killed by an 18-wheeler in a hit-and-run crash on the East Freeway, authorities confirmed. The incident occurred near the 15000 block of the East Freeway, close to the intersection with Market Street and Dell Dale Street.

Emergency responders arrived at the scene and pronounced the bicyclist dead.

According to investigators, the driver of the semi-truck did not stop after the collision and left the scene before law enforcement arrived.

The identity of the victim has not been released.
