Jeriflyer Recalls Defective Pool Drain Covers Due to Entrapment and Death Hazard


WASHINGTON, D.C. — Approximately 500 pool drain covers manufactured by Jeriflyer are being recalled due to a serious safety risk.

The recall applies to Jeriflyer 8-inch white plastic drain covers designed for use in swimming pools. The covers measure 8.1 inches in diameter.

According to the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission, the affected products fail to meet the entrapment protection requirements outlined in the Virginia Graeme Baker Pool and Spa Safety Act. The non-compliance presents a potential entrapment hazard that could result in serious injury or death.
