Harbor Freight Recalls Defective Predator 2000-Watt Power Stations Due to Electrical Shock Risk


WASHINGTON, D.C. — Harbor Freight Tools is recalling its Predator 2000-Watt Power Stations after discovering a wiring issue that poses a shock hazard.

The recall involves the Predator 2000 Watt Power Station, identified by SKU #70084 and UPC 193175488718. The affected units are red and black with the word “PREDATOR” printed in large white letters on the top of the front panel and “2000 Power Station” displayed across the bottom.

Officials say the AC outlet receptacles have reversed wiring when the unit is operating in Emergency Power Supply (EPS) mode. This miswiring could result in an electrical shock to users.
