Giant Bicycle Recalls Defective Momentum Vida E+ E-Bikes Over Fall Risk and Injury


Giant Bicycle has issued a recall for its Momentum Vida E+ electric bicycles due to a potential safety hazard. The company reports that the fork steerer tube on affected models may crack, break, or separate during use, creating a risk of crashes and injuries.

The recall applies to Momentum Vida E+ e-bikes, which were sold in several colors, including metallic red, pearl white, metallic navy blue, metallic green, indigo blue, happy mint (light green), and panther (black). The bikes come in two frame styles—mid-step and low-step—and are available in small, medium, and large sizes.

Each bike features the word “Momentum” on the downtube and “Vida E+” on the top tube. Serial numbers are stamped on the outer left rear dropout and also appear on a sticker located under the downtube.
