Mazda Recalls Over 183,000 Defective Vehicles Due to Risk of Accident


Mazda has issued a safety recall affecting vehicles across the U.S., citing a potentially serious airbag defect in certain models, according to notices posted by the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA). The largest portion of the recall involves approximately 171,412 vehicles from the 2024-2025 Mazda3 and CX-30 model years.

A defect in the airbag control system may prevent the airbags from deploying in the event of a collision. Mazda has identified the issue as a faulty sensor that may trigger an error code when a low battery condition is detected. This malfunction could deactivate the airbag system, increasing the risk of injury in a crash.

The affected vehicles are covered under Mazda recall number 7525E and NHTSA recall number 25V357000.
