Mammut Sports Group has issued a recall of its Skywalker Pro Via Ferrata sets, citing a safety issue that could result in serious injury or death. The recall involves approximately 580 units sold in the United States and an additional 42 distributed in Canada.

The recall was initiated after it was discovered that the carabiner used in the set can be opened without engaging the safety locking mechanism. This defect poses a significant fall hazard for users relying on the gear for secure climbing support.
