Peg Perego Recalls Defective Tatamia 3-in-1 Recliner, Swing, and High Chair Units Due to Suffocation Risks and Safety Violations

WASHINGTON, D.C. — Peg Perego is recalling select Tatamia 3-in-1 recliners, swings, and high chairs due to violations of multiple federal safety regulations, according to the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC). The recalled units pose a suffocation risk and fail to meet mandatory warning and labeling requirements.

The affected products were marketed as multifunctional units that convert from a reclining seat to a high chair and infant swing. According to the CPSC, the products were promoted for infant sleep but feature an incline greater than 10 degrees, which violates the federal Infant Sleep Products Rule and the Safe Sleep for Babies Act. Additionally, they do not meet the warning label standards required for high chairs.

This recall applies to the Peg Perego Tatamia model IMTATANA01BL73, sold in the color “Ice” (gray). The brand name “Peg Perego” is printed on the top of the seat and the front of the tray when the high chair is in use. The name “tatamia” appears on the side adjustment area. Only units manufactured on or after June 23, 2022, and/or purchased on or after November 12, 2022, are included in this recall.
