Honda Recalls Over 259,000 Defective Vehicles Due to Risk of Accident


Honda is recalling more than 259,000 vehicles across the United States due to a manufacturing issue that could impact braking performance and increase the risk of a crash.

According to the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA), the recall involves specific Acura and Honda models in which the brake pedal pivot pin may not have been secured adequately during assembly. This defect can allow the brake pedal to shift laterally, potentially affecting the driver’s ability to stop the vehicle safely.

The affected models include:

  • 2021–2025 Acura TLX
  • 2023–2025 Acura MDX
  • 2023–2025 Honda Pilot

NHTSA warns that a malfunctioning brake pedal can lead to abnormal pedal feel and may trigger a warning light on the dashboard. If the brake system fails to respond as intended, the likelihood of an accident increases significantly.
