Sanven Technology Recalls Defective Vevor Handrails Due to Risk of Injury


WASHINGTON, D.C. — Sanven Technology has issued a recall for several models of its Vevor-brand single-post handrails after reports that the welds can fail during use, posing a significant risk of injury.

According to the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission, the recall affects wrought iron handrails designed for one- or two-step stairs. The welding on some units can break when a person grips the rail for support, potentially causing a fall.

The handrails were sold in:

  • Black (model numbers TFBGWXLZHS1JGNHKIV0 and LTFSSHSDDZJSFS001V0)
  • White (model number LTFSBSDDZJSFS0001V0)
  • Silver (model numbers LTFS2BBXGMLFS0001V0, LTFS1BBXGMLFS0001V0, and LTFSBSHXDDZJSFS01V0)

Vevor has received reports of injuries, including one head injury.
