Driver Seriously Injured After Brightline Train and Car Accident Near West Atlantic Boulevard and North Dixie Highway in Pompano Beach, Florida

POMPANO BEACH, Fla. — A driver was seriously injured Tuesday afternoon when a Brightline train struck a car on the tracks near West Atlantic Boulevard and North Dixie Highway.

Authorities say the crash occurred when the train hit a vehicle on the tracks, causing the car to overturn.

Pompano Beach Fire Rescue transported the driver to Broward Health North with serious injuries. No other injuries were reported.
