NTI Recalls Defective Residential Gas Boilers Due to Risk of Carbon Monoxide Exposure


A recall has been issued for select NTI-brand residential gas boilers due to serious safety concerns involving fire and carbon monoxide hazards.

According to the recall notice, certain TRX Series II wall-mounted gas boilers may have been manufactured with incorrect burner door studs. This defect can prevent the boiler door from sealing properly, allowing flames and exhaust gases to escape. The issue poses a significant risk of fire, carbon monoxide poisoning, and potentially fatal injury.

The recall affects NTI TRX Series II models TRX150, TRX199, and TRX199C. The model name, number, and serial number can be found on the rating plate located on the left-hand side of the boiler.
