Bridgestone Recalls R123 Ecopia Trailer Tires Due to Manufacturing Issue

NASHVILLE, Tenn. (March 25, 2025) – Bridgestone Americas Tire Operations, L.L.C. has issued a recall for 1,185 Ecopia R123 commercial trailer tires, size 295/75R22.5, to recover 24 tires that may have been manufactured with an incorrectly applied stabilizer ply belt.

According to the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA), the misapplied component could lead to tire failure, increasing the risk of a crash.

The affected tires were produced at Bridgestone’s LaVergne, Tennessee facility, during the 35th week of 2024. Bridgestone has identified and contained 18 of the 24 affected tires, with six still in circulation.

These tires can be identified by the Tire Identification Number: 1D2 BT 4A6R 3524. Affected tires may exhibit an overly convex tread shape when fully inflated and could show premature or irregular wear in the center of the tread after being used on the road.

Bridgestone is offering free replacements for the recalled tires.

The company will notify owners by mail starting May 13. For more information, customers can contact Bridgestone customer service at 800-847-3272. Additionally, vehicle owners can reach the NHTSA Vehicle Safety Hotline at 888-327-4236 or visit nhtsa.gov for further details.
