Daniel Avila Killed in a Two-Vehicle Accident with a Semi-truck in Fresno County, California


FRESNO COUNTY, CA – An 18-year-old driver was killed in a collision involving a Ford truck and a semi-truck in Caruthers, according to the California Highway Patrol. The crash occurred Friday around midnight at West Kamm and South Brawley avenues.

Authorities say both vehicles collided near the center of the roadway. The driver of the Ford truck, identified as Daniel Avila, 18, of Caruthers, suffered fatal injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene.

Investigators believe the truck may have had a dash cam. Toxicology reports are pending.
