Dozens Injured in a Dump Truck and Three Charter Buses Accident in a Construction Zone in Port Arthur, Texas

PORT ARTHUR, TX – More than 60 plant workers were hospitalized after three charter buses collided in a construction zone near Port Arthur, a major petrochemical hub on the Texas coast.

According to officials, the chain-reaction collision began when the lead bus suddenly slowed to avoid a dump truck that had entered its lane. The second bus was unable to stop in time and rear-ended the first, followed by the third bus crashing into the second.

The crash occurred while the buses were transporting workers home. Authorities reported that 68 individuals sustained injuries, with at least five in critical condition. Some reports indicated the number of injured may be higher.
