Gloria Garza Killed, Others Injured in an Accident Involving a Semi and Box Truck on Interstate 10 in Beaumont, Texas

BEAUMONT, Texas – Authorities have identified 62-year-old Gloria Garza of Corpus Christi as the victim in a fatal crash on Interstate 10 in Beaumont. The collision involved multiple vehicles and resulted in several injuries.

Garza was a passenger in a white pickup truck driven by her husband, who sustained serious injuries but is expected to recover.

According to Beaumont police, the crash began when a white Chevrolet dually pickup was involved in an initial collision, causing the truck to leave the roadway. Additional vehicles then collided while attempting to avoid the wreck. Several other individuals were transported to a hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

A news crew on-site counted at least five vehicles involved, including an 18-wheeler, a box truck, two smaller cars, and a pickup truck.
