Marcus Humphries Killed in an Oil Field Accident in Calcasieu Parish, Louisiana

Calcasieu Parish, La. – A 21-year-old Sulphur man lost his life in a workplace accident at an oil field in Calcasieu Parish. The incident happened Wednesday afternoon.

Authorities report that Marcus D. Humphries was fatally injured when a heavy piece of equipment, weighing approximately 9,000 pounds, fell on him while he was working at the Starks Brine Field. Humphries was part of a subcontracted crew performing work at the site when the incident occurred.
