Nezmdi Recalls Defective Infant Swings Due to Suffocation and Injury Risks


Nezmdi has recalled its electric infant swings, sold exclusively on Amazon.com, following federal safety concerns over suffocation hazards and multiple regulatory violations.

The recall affects Nezmdi-branded pink electric swings with white bases, black control panels, and accessories including plush star and moon toys, a pillow, a seat cover, a mosquito net, and a canopy. A leather patch labeled “Nezmdi” is stitched onto the swing’s restraints. The swings are identified by “Model Number: S0008” and “Baby Swing Chair” on a label beneath the seat.

Officials say the swings were improperly marketed for infant sleep and feature an incline angle greater than 10 degrees, which violates the federal Safe Sleep for Babies Act. Additionally, the product fails to meet mandatory warning requirements for infant swings. It includes a remote control with a lithium coin battery but lacks the safety labeling and instructions required under Reese’s Law for products containing button cell and coin batteries.
