Igloo Recalls Defective Flip & Tow Rolling Coolers Due to Risk of Finger Amputation


Igloo Products Corp. has expanded its previous recall of 90-quart Flip & Tow Rolling Coolers due to continued reports of serious finger injuries. The cooler’s tow handle can pinch users’ fingers against the body of the cooler, posing a risk of fingertip amputations and crush injuries.

This expanded recall adds approximately 130,000 more coolers to the initial recall, bringing the total number of affected units to nearly 1.2 million. The newly included coolers were manufactured before January 2024.

Recalled coolers are identified by the presence of a tow handle and the “IGLOO” logo printed on the side. They were sold in various lid and body color combinations.
