Kubota Recalls Defective Utility Vehicles Due to Crash Risk


GRAPEVINE, Texas — Kubota Tractor Corporation is recalling approximately 50,000 RTV-Series utility vehicles because of a defect that could pose a crash hazard.

The recall was issued after it was found that the ball joint connecting the front suspension arm may loosen and detach. If separation occurs, the vehicle could lose front wheel support, increasing the risk of a crash.

The affected vehicles are part of Kubota’s RTV-Series and include multiple models. These utility vehicles were sold in various colors, including camouflage, orange, and black. The model number is printed on the side of the car, while the serial number is located on the left side, behind the door.

The recall includes the following models and serial number ranges:

  • RTV520: 10004–25434 and X0005–X0507
  • RTV-X1120: 41413–41489
  • RTV-X1130: 10003–11962
  • RTV-X1140: 55080–80440
  • RTV-X: 10001–16796
  • RTV-X900: 79863–80047
  • RTV-X1100C: 77675–97306
