Trever Stanten Killed in a Work Accident at Utz Plant in Hanover, Pennsylvania

HANOVER, Pa. – A contractor working at the Utz Quality Foods facility on High Street died Friday following a fall from the roof of the plant.

According to reports, 34-year-old Trever Stanten of Harrisburg was part of a crew setting up scaffolding when he fell through a skylight, plunging approximately 30 to 34 feet to the loading dock area below. He was taken to UPMC Hanover Hospital, where he later died from his injuries.

The Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) has been notified to determine whether safety protocols were followed during the roofing work.

Holding the Responsible Parties Accountable in Scaffolding Deaths

It is not enough for a company to offer its condolences to the surviving family after a fatal work accident. The family deserves more than that—they deserve answers.
