WASHINGTON — LEACHOI has announced a recall of its adult portable bed rails after determining the product poses a risk of entrapment and asphyxiation, which could lead to serious injury or death.

According to the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission, the recalled bed rails fail to meet the mandatory federal safety standard for adult portable bed rails. When installed, users may become trapped between the rail and the mattress edge, or within the rail itself. Additionally, the bed rails do not include the required hazard warning labels.
