Woman Injured in an Accident with a Log Truck that Failed to Yield at the Intersection of Highway 95A and East Quintette Road in Escambia County, Florida

ESCAMBIA COUNTY, Fla. — A rollover crash in the Quintette Community left a Pensacola woman seriously injured Monday morning after a log truck entered the roadway in front of her vehicle. The collision occurred at the intersection of Highway 95A and East Quintette Road.

Troopers report that an 83-year-old man driving a log truck failed to yield at a stop sign and attempted a left turn onto Highway 95A, moving directly into the path of a southbound SUV. The SUV struck the truck and overturned, coming to rest upside down in the southbound lane.

The 53-year-old SUV driver was transported to the hospital with serious injuries.

Failure to Stop at a Stop Sign Can Lead to Devastating Truck Crashes

When a commercial driver ignores a stop sign, someone is going to pay the price. Stop signs are not optional: obeying these simple safety rules can be the difference between life and death and serious injury.

Commercial truck drivers have an obligation to treat every intersection with care. They have a responsibility to stop, look, and only proceed when it is safe. So why didn’t that happen here?

Through our years of experience handling cases like this, we know how these crashes leave someone hurt and their family left with grief, confusion, and uncertainty. In the middle of hospital visits, medical bills, and unanswered questions, injured people and their families are also met with pressure from trucking companies and insurers that move fast and push for quick settlements. It’s not a fair fight. No one should be forced to accept less than what they’ve truly lost — especially when they’re facing lost wages, painful recovery, emotional strain, and long-term consequences from another driver’s choices.

When accidents like this happen, those responsible should be held accountable. Experienced commercial truck attorneys help make sure that happens.
