YaFiti Recalls Allegedly Defective 12-Drawer Fabric Dressers Due to Tip-Over and Entrapment Hazards

WASHINGTON — YaFiti has announced a recall of its 12-drawer fabric dressers because the units pose serious tip-over and entrapment hazards that could result in injury or death to children.

According to the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission, the recalled dressers fail to comply with the mandatory stability requirements outlined in the STURDY Act. The furniture can become unstable if not properly anchored to a wall, putting young children at risk of being trapped or crushed.

The recall involves YaFiti 12-Drawer Fabric Dressers sold in black, black wood veins, gray, oak gray, pink, and rustic brown. Each dresser features a metal frame, a wooden top, and twelve collapsible fabric drawers. The product labels include the following model numbers: HI1381_13, DD-02-BP, HI1381_09, DD-02-O, DD-02-P, and DD-02-B, which are printed on the outer packaging.
