L G Sourcing Recalls Allegedly Defective Electric Fireplaces Due to Fire and Burn Hazards


WASHINGTON — L G Sourcing has announced a recall to repair certain allen + roth 62-inch electric fireplaces after reports of overheating and fire hazards.

According to the Consumer Product Safety Commission, the recall involves allen + roth 62-inch, 5,120-BTU infrared quartz electric fireplaces housed in a cherry wood-colored cabinet. The units feature a thermostat, remote control, and an insert that simulates a wood-burning fire. The affected models are labeled “FEBO Flame Electric Fireplace Model Number ZHS-30-A” with Lowe’s Item Number 466656.

The company has received 28 reports of fireplaces overheating, producing smoke, or catching fire.
