CFMOTO Recalls Allegedly Defective Off-Highway Vehicles Due to Fire and Injury Risk


CFMOTO is recalling certain 2020 ZFORCE 950 Sport recreational off-highway vehicles (ROVs) due to a potential fire hazard.

According to the company, the fuel line fitting may fail to properly lock onto the fuel injector inlet, allowing fuel to leak onto hot engine components and ignite. The recall covers 2020 models equipped with a 963cc 4-cycle engine, sold in red or gray with the “CFMOTO” logo centered on the front grille and the model name printed on both doors.

The affected vehicles can be identified by a “L” in the 10th position of the vehicle identification number (VIN), which is stamped on the right-hand frame rail behind the right-rear tire.

CFMOTO has received reports of fuel leaks, including at least one incident resulting in an engine fire.
