Sunbeam Products Recall Allegedly Defective Oster French Door Countertop Ovens Due to Risk of Burn Injuries


BOCA RATON, Fla. — Sunbeam Products is recalling more than one million Oster French Door Countertop Ovens due to reports that the doors can unexpectedly close, posing a risk of burns to consumers.

The recall covers four models of Oster French Door Countertop Ovens: TSSTTVFDXL, TSSTTVFDDG, TSSTTVFDMAF, and TSSTTVFDDAF. These units feature a spring-loaded double glass door with metal handles. The model number can be found on a label on the back of the oven and on the product’s original packaging. The brand name “Oster” is engraved on the lower right corner of the oven’s front.

Sunbeam has received 95 incident reports of the oven doors closing unexpectedly, resulting in injuries like second-degree burns.
