Edsal Recalls 2.2 Million Allegedly Defective Muscle Rack Heavy Duty Steel Shelving Units for Risk of Injury


Edsal has recalled about 2.2 million Muscle Rack Heavy Duty Steel Shelving Units after reports that the shelves may not support the advertised weight capacity. The company stated that the shelves, which were marketed to hold up to 800 pounds, can bend or break under heavy loads, creating a risk of injury.

The recall includes 5-Tier Muscle Rack units with gray or black steel frames and five plywood shelves. Affected models are CR3618, CR3618-BLK, CR4824, and CR4824-BLK. Models CR3618 and CR3618-BLK measure 72 inches high, 36 inches wide, and 18 inches deep, while models CR4824 and CR4824-BLK measure 72 inches high, 48 inches wide, and 24 inches deep.

Edsal has received reports of injuries.
