Adam Smith Fatally Struck by a Dump Truck in Construction Zone Accident Along Highway 610 in Maple Grove, Minnesota

MAPLE GROVE, Minn. — A 25-year-old contractor from Wisconsin was killed Thursday afternoon after being struck by a dump truck in a construction zone along Highway 610. The incident happened near Maple Grove Parkway in a closed section of the highway.

Troopers reported that the contractor, identified as Adam Smith of Seymour, Wisconsin, was on foot in the work zone when the dump truck hit him.

Smith died at the scene.

Construction site safety needs to be investigated
