Ford Recalls More Than 115,000 Trucks Over Steering Defect That Can Lead to a Crash


WASHINGTON — Ford Motor Company is recalling more than 115,000 trucks after federal safety officials warned of a defect that could cause drivers to lose steering control.

According to the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration, the recall affects specific 2020 and 2021 model year F-250, F-350, and F-450 models. Regulators said the upper shaft of the steering column can detach, creating a risk of losing control of the vehicle.

A total of 115,539 trucks are included in the recall.
