Semi-Truck Following Too Closely Causes Multi-Vehicle Accident, Injuring Several People on Interstate 10 Near Sacaton, Arizona


SACATON, Ariz. — A multi-vehicle collision on Interstate 10 outside Sacaton left several people injured after a semi-truck traveling too closely struck a pickup towing a trailer.

Troopers said the crash happened when a commercial semi-truck in the left lane failed to maintain a safe distance and collided with a Toyota Tundra pulling a trailer. The impact caused the trailer to become lodged in the truck’s windshield and pushed the pickup into two additional vehicles.

All drivers and passengers involved were taken to area hospitals with non-life-threatening injuries.
