One Killed, Another Injured Following a Head-On Semi-Truck Accident on State Route 172 in Columbiana County, Ohio

COLUMBIANA COUNTY, Ohio – A deadly collision involving a semi-truck and an SUV occurred Saturday night on State Route 172 in West Township, near Zepernick Lake.

According to the Ohio State Highway Patrol, a semi-truck traveling along the highway veered off the road, overcorrected, and crossed the center line. The truck struck a Ford Bronco heading in the opposite direction.

Both vehicles went off the roadway and rolled over. The driver of the Bronco was pronounced dead at the scene. A passenger in the vehicle was taken to a hospital in Canton with non-life-threatening injuries.
