Scooter Driver Killed in Accident with Garbage Truck on South Federal Highway in Fort Lauderdale, Florida

FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla. — A scooter driver was killed Saturday morning following a collision with a garbage truck on South Federal Highway, according to the Fort Lauderdale Police Department. The incident happened on the 2400 block of South Federal Highway.

Fire rescue crews arrived and pronounced the scooter driver dead at the scene.

Authorities have not released the victim’s identity.
