Soda Sense Recalls Allegedly Defective CO2 Canisters Due to Risk of Injury


BARABOO, Wis. – Soda Sense has announced a recall of its SODA SENSE® CO2 canisters due to an injury hazard.

According to the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission, a valve in the canister can fail, causing the top valve to eject forcefully and posing a risk of impact injury.

The recall applies to type 2 SODA SENSE 0.6-liter CO2 canisters distributed through the company’s mail-order exchange program. The recalled silver metal cylinders feature a black cap and the SODA SENSE logo on the front. Only canisters with two indented rings on the bottom are included in the recall.
