Delta Cycle Recalls Defective Bicycle Stem Raisers Over Risk of Falls


WASHINGTON, D.C. — Delta Cycle has recalled certain bicycle stem raisers after reports that the component can shift during use, causing the handlebars to move unexpectedly and increasing the risk of a fall.

The recall includes Delta Cycle and Dimension Stem Raisers with model numbers TD3318B, TD3318S, TD3418B, and TD3418S under the Delta Cycle brand, and SM1977 and SM1979 under the Dimension brand. The affected products were sold in black and silver, measuring between five and seven inches in height.

The stem raisers were available at REI, independent bicycle shops nationwide, and online through Designbydelta.com and Amazon.com.
