BLU3 Recalls Defective Nomad Diving Systems Over Drowning Risk


FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla. — BLU3 has issued a recall for its Nomad battery-powered tankless diving systems after reports of equipment failures that pose a drowning hazard to divers.

According to the company, the compressor head on the Nomad unit can fracture during use, restricting airflow. BLU3 has received 21 reports of divers experiencing limited air supply while using the system.

The recall applies to Nomad dive systems with serial numbers ending in 0000 through 2700. The serial number is located inside the compartment behind the battery door. Units can be identified by the BLU3 logo and the word “Nomad” printed on the top handle.
